Desk To Glory
(Rich & Ash) drove our 1990 Toyota Pickup from BC to Ushuaia and across Canada.
Desk to Glory’s completed trip is an accomplishment in itself, but they also seem to hit many highlight destinations along the way. Creating wonderful photo’s and experiences for their followers to share even just the smallest part in.
Rich and Ash is the couple's self-documentation of their overlanding trip from Vancouver to Argentina. If you like off-road, adventure-style stuff, they won't dissapoint.
Their journey is both a humbling and inspiring experience. Richard and Ashley seem to have a quite greatness about them. They achieved some big things and tackled wild places. All in a way that makes you feel like they bring nothing but gratitude to their experience. Their endearing mode of vintage(y) transport might be a reflection of their personalities or simply a beautiful partnership.

Top 9 from 2016. Looks like you guys are partial to any photo with Lil' Red in it... Pretty cool that we have some shots from Bolivia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, USA, and Canada. Thanks for following along with our little road trip! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Tonight we move into our new place in Victoria and unpack our bags for the first time in 19 months. Crazy.
Getting dirty inside and out.
Looks like the seal on the rear door doesn't exactly keep fine dust out of the van. Well, that and bombing down dirt roads with the windows down and dirty breeze flowing through our hair!
We camped with Bryon (@explorelements) for obvious reasons, such as the matching orange accents on our vehicles and since we had about three years worth of catching up to do.
Also... loving the upgrade to the 2500
I'm with ya kid, I like it too.
Stoked to pack up and head south to the @nwoverlandrally tomorrow! Ash will be helping out with the Friday/Saturday morning yoga and we're putting on a presentation about our trip on Friday evening. Can't wait to catch up with old friends and make some new ones! It's hard to believe that it has been 3 years since we were there last.
It's hard to ignore consistency! This square body Chevy had never been to the racetrack before, but rattled off 6.68s with a 6.67 dial-in all... day... long. Yes, I need a RCSB square body in my life.
So there we go. I cut a giant hole in the roof of the Delica and stuffed it full of thermostatically controlled @dometic 2250 Fan-Tastic Vent Fan goodness. Can't wait to finish up the wiring and test this thing out! Really stoked that I could pick up the sealant complete with install tips down the road at @totalcomposites. Swipe for the install photos in order.
"Forest bathing is the practice of taking a short, leisurely visit to a forest for health benefits. The practice originated in Japan where it is called shinrin-yoku."
Rainy west coast surf sessions.
Another road that made the list on our @expeditionportal article (click the link in profile) was the Smith-Dorrien Trail (Highway 742) in Alberta. Honestly though, it's more than just this single stretch of dirt road that blew our minds. Combine it with a drive along Highway 40 from Longview, through Kananaskis Country to Canmore, dodging big horn sheep as you go. We constantly had our faces plastered to the windscreen checking out all of the surrounding mountains. There are plenty of places to hike in the summer (Ha Ling Peak is a favourite!) and snowshoe/ski/snowboard in the winter so you'll be keeping busy.
